The launch of the industry-first multi-layer cash drawers has swung into high gear with showings at FSTEC and the RSPA shows. So far there has been a tidal wave of interest in the innovative new products.
These products are actually composed of various full-size and half-size drawers manufactured in different combinations within a single case. Typically, the full-size drawers are used for traditional cash-and-coin counting. When two cashiers use the same terminal, either in the same-shift or sequential-shifts, the equipment provider must usually install two independent, bulky, expensive cash drawers, or even a second terminal.
