Partnership brings an Outstanding POS solution to the Miami Open
Greenville, SC – August 15, 2016 – NCC, a leading developer of retail and hospitality POS software solutions along with American Metro, the industry leader in large scale deployments of rental POS for national events, both seasonal and extensive, received RSPA and Business Solutions 2016 Point-of-Sale Pacesetter Award. The award in the VAR/ISV collaboration category recognizes NCC and American Metro for their innovative solution created for the 2016 Miami Open.
The Miami Open, an international tennis tournament with attendance of over 300,000, included 19 different venues across an 800-acre complex for wining-and-dining patrons and players. These venues ranged from walk-up concessions to VIP table service dining and presented an enormous POS challenge. However, with over 60 years of combined experience in the industry, American Metro and NCC were just the team the Miami Open needed to rise to the occasion. NCC and American Metro programmed, configured, installed, and supported over 60 terminals at sites more than a half a mile apart in one network.
With zero downtime over two weeks, the installation was a huge success. Such a success, in fact, American Metro is in the process of transitioning many of its other major events over to the NCC product line.
“I was thrilled to hear American Metro and NCC had been selected to receive a POS Pacesetter Award,” said Chuck Prince, President of NCC. “Both sides put in an enormous amount of effort to make this project work. We are honored to receive the award, and we have enjoyed collaborating with American Metro. We look forward to continuing our work with them.”
“When the team at the Miami Open first approached us, we knew they had some specific and unusual requirements. When we presented these challenges to the creative team at NCC, they went to work putting together a solution that worked perfect all the way around. Having a vendor partner like NCC allows us to service entire new market segments,” said Tim Muller, President of American Metro.
